Artisan edicts
If Ben is still around to give an update I suggest artisan edicts that

1. Increase amount of artisan actions per day
2. Increase return of actions. 1 point might return 4 timber instead of 3.
3. Decrease supply needed to gather or perform. Instead of 20,000 iron the next level might require 19,000.

Maybe some other things involving artisan skills.

This makes a lot of sense, and is naturally balanced by the relatively low returns Artisan improvements give a weapon -
eg, a 2% Power Improvement on a Level 40 weapon increases the damage the weapon does by 26.4 points.
This single improvement represents 11 days work, provided that all Nobles are working 100% efficiently.
A level 40 knight gains considerably more than 26.4 capacity from 11 days training!

Also, consideration could be given to adding Artisan bonuses to Armour.
Evade, Parry or Dodge chances.
Or perhaps an increase to the existing bonus - eg Shield gives a greater HP bonus.

Nice! Also, perhaps an edict that allows you to move up quicker for each point put into it.

Example. 0/100 -> 4/100 normally leveling a skill
With 1 point it would go 0/100 -> 5/100 and so on with each point increasing it by 1.

Another suggestion would be to slow down the decreasing of other skills. Maybe decreasing by 1 every other day or eventually every other week depending on the points in the edict.

The point of the decreasing skills....
I believe the original purpose behind the decreasing of other skills when using a given skill was to foster group activity. If a clan or a number of players work cooperatively, then each person would be assigned as either a woodsman, forger, craftsman or smithy. That way, the skill of each member of the team maxes out... Of course that works when there are a number of players on each task - this has been working very nicely at TLC since the Artisan buisiness got started, and many TLC's consequently benefit from having the personally Lev40's upgraded by turn

The downside is that with so few players still left active in KON, this may not work so well outside f TLC....

But that's life...

Oh I agree to the fullest Dandin but the point of edicts in general are to make the game easier. It's a reward system for staying loyal to the game and climbing the ladder. I personally love being assigned such task to advance my character and alliance.

Come on Ben! Get back here and love us!!! This is a bad marriage you'll never escape!!!
