What are you reading?
"Listening to" is a bit passive - unless you're dancing or it's the wife yelling and throwing heavy objects!

Me - two books, actively ...

Rich Dad Poor Dad - Robert Kiyo

Moving Pictures by Terry Pratchett at the moment, am reworking my way through the Discworld series.
"Voil! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin van-guarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition."

A short history of nearly everything by Bill Bryson. If you haven't read it it is well worth a look, you'll learn a lot lol

I reread the vocal parts of the Requiem in c of Luigi Cherubini and the one in d by Mozart (and Sssmayr and Flothuis). I remember the sounds of rehearsal and performance when looking at all those notes. I like doing that.

Just reread White Fang. I've loved the book since 7th grade, and have now read it 4 times in total.

I'm currently trudging my way through Moby Dick. I've always wanted to read it, but my goodness am I now regretting the decision...

I'll start on that biography on Erich von Manstein as soon as I finish Moby Dick.

Wizards First Rule is one of the best stories I have ever read ... lots of original thought ... get stuck in. (Ironically, being given the first book is how I got started too.)

As a series of books I feel it goes down hill and becomes a little repetitive ... though nonetheless well worth reading.

Blood of the Fold
I was warned not to get into this but was drawn in against my will.

It becomes tedious at times, but the story and the chracters hold true. I agree that it becomes repetitive but that is the nature of a series of books that tries to grab new readers and inform them...not nearly as bad as the Tower books by King or the Dune books...those were horrendously boring for pages on END!

The whole series from Terry Goodkind rocks. I finished them all except for the last one he did that is not printed into paper books. That one is only available on E book format. How can he do that to me after reading ten of his books the eleventh is not readily accessible. ratz!

eBooks are the present Nibbler, paper's the past.

eBooks are cheaper, easier to store and organise ... and eReaders (or eReader Apps) are more convient to use.

There is also a thing called buckbooks.net

I just finished Bill Bryson's new one, where he re-travels England 20 years after his first book 'Notes from a small island'

I love his travel writing, its so witty. I have taken many of his books away with me on my travels.

It comes in any color you wish...
I have friends who have pink guns, some who have purple but most have deadly black!

Re-reading Outlander series after a trip to Scotland where I stood on Culloden battlefield...may not be accurate but a fairly good sexy read!!
